G3 Studios is digital media publisher and content developer, producing computer games, mobile games and digital books. Formed in 2001 by industry veteran and award-winning producer Guido Henkel, G3 Studios consists of a team of highly experienced and skilled talent with an award-winning track record that includes such titles as “Jason Dark: Ghost Hunter,” “Planescape: Torment,” the “Realms of Arkania” Trilogy, the “Divine Divinity” series, “Fallout II” and many others.

History

The Mobile Era

G3 Studios was founded as a developer and publisher for mobile games. Initially focusing on games for Windows Mobile, Symbian and J2ME platforms, the company soon got involved deeply with Qualcomm’s BREW platform for many years. During this period G3 Studios’ CEO Guido Henkel also served as a Board Member of the Game Developers Conference and acted as the GDC Mobile chairman in 2010.

Book and eBook Publishing

In 2010, G3 Studios also began expanding its publishing efforts into the world of books and most notably, eBooks, through its “Thunder Peak Publishing” imprint. Working on the bleeding edge once again, the company published the award-winning supernatural mystery series “Jason Dark: Ghost Hunter” in print as well as all digital eBook platforms, including Amazon’s Kindle, Barnes&Noble Nook and Apple’s iBookstore among many others.

Current projects

With the emergence of crowd-funding in 2012, G3 Studios began to explore potential opportunities for the independent development and publishing of gaming titles for desktop computers. The result is a new role-playing game, titled “Deathfire: Ruins of Nethermore.” This title is tentatively scheduled for a late 2014 release and is a throwback to traditional role-playing games with turn-based combat and dense story lines, while utilizing modern day technologies.
